Farmer's Complete Guide

Your end-to-end guide to listing, selling, and earning as a verified farmer on AgroBridge Africa.

Getting Started & Selling on AgroBridge

STEP 01

Register and Apply as a Farmer

  • Visit www.agrobridge.com.ng and click "Sign Up." Select "Farmer" as your account type.
  • Complete your profile with your full legal name, phone number, and verified email address.
  • Navigate to "Apply as Farmer" and submit your farmer application — this includes your farm name, location, produce categories, and a brief description of your farm.
  • Upload required verification documents: government-issued ID (NIN slip, International Passport, or Driver's License) and your farm's GPS coordinates or address.
  • For payout eligibility, enter your bank account details (account number and BVN will be verified through our payment partner).
  • Applications are reviewed within 24-48 business hours. You will be notified by email and SMS.
STEP 02

Set Up Your Farmer Profile

  • Once approved, access your Farmer Dashboard at /farmer/dashboard.
  • Upload high-quality photos of your farm, farming practices, and sample produce — buyers trust verified, well-presented farms.
  • Write a compelling farm description highlighting your farming methods (organic, free-range, pesticide-free, etc.).
  • Set your operating zone and preferred delivery or pickup arrangements.
  • Post regular Farm Updates to keep buyers informed about planting cycles, expected harvests, and seasonal availability.
STEP 03

List Your Produce

  • From your Farmer Dashboard, click "Add Product" to create a new listing.
  • Provide accurate product information: name, category, quality grade, weight/unit, available quantity, and price.
  • Upload clear, well-lit photographs of the actual produce — multiple angles are recommended.
  • Set your harvest date, availability window, and any preparation lead time needed.
  • Pricing must be competitive and fair. Listings with inflated or misleading prices may be reviewed or delisted.
  • All listings are subject to AgroBridge review before going live. Approval typically takes a few hours.
STEP 04

Create and Manage Group Buys

  • Group Buys allow you to set a minimum order quantity and offer buyers a reduced wholesale price.
  • From your dashboard, click "Create Group Buy" and set the produce details, minimum participants, total quantity, discounted price, and collection window.
  • Share your Group Buy link on social media, WhatsApp groups, and community platforms to attract participants.
  • Once the minimum threshold is met, you will be notified to confirm and begin preparation.
  • If the minimum is not met by the deadline, all participant payments are refunded — no penalty to the farmer.
  • Group Buys help you sell in bulk, reduce spoilage, and build loyal community relationships.
STEP 05

Order Fulfilment and Payouts

  • When an order is placed, you will receive an immediate notification via email and your dashboard.
  • Prepare the produce to the exact specifications listed (weight, quality grade, packaging).
  • Arrange delivery through your own logistics or coordinate with an AgroBridge logistics partner.
  • Mark the order as "Ready" in your dashboard when produce is prepared, and "Dispatched" when handed to the delivery agent.
  • Buyer payment is held in escrow. It is released to your bank account within 24-72 hours after delivery confirmation.
  • Where a buyer does not confirm within 48 hours, funds are automatically released to you.
  • Payout is sent to your registered bank account after deducting the platform service fee.
STEP 06

Handling Disputes and Building Trust

  • If a buyer raises a dispute, you will be notified and given 24 hours to respond with your account of events and any supporting evidence (delivery records, photos, etc.).
  • Our disputes team will review all evidence and issue a fair determination within 5-7 business days.
  • To minimise disputes: always accurately describe your produce, deliver fresh and correctly weighed goods, and communicate proactively about any delays.
  • Your farmer rating is calculated from buyer reviews and successful delivery rate. Maintaining a high rating increases your visibility on the Platform.
  • Repeated non-delivery, quality misrepresentation, or failure to cooperate with disputes may result in account suspension.
  • Build trust by posting regular farm updates, responding promptly to buyer enquiries, and honouring your commitments.
